There is even a unique cycling path along the ancient walls of Lucca. Our hotel is ideal for active tourists; we are located not far from the coast and the mountains. There are extensive sports facilities in the near vicinity including a riding stables, tennis club, golf club, Olympic-size swimming pool and football pitch. We provide meeting and banquet facilities in a refined setting, with simple yet elegant furnishings. The restaurant next door offers traditional home-made Tuscan cuisine and the chef teaches cooking classes. In the warm season it is possible to dine on the terrace by candlelight.

Our English speaking staff will be at your disposal for any requests you may have, to make your stay with us a memorable experience The hotel has a large reception hall, a TV room and piano bar, in addition to the listed facilities. The pool and the 2.5 acre park with a children’s playground have been available since July 2007. The park is large enough for jogging and outdoor exercise.

Food & Beverage

The Cantina di Carignano was an old mail station, where horses and carriages stopped during their journeys along the dusty roads between Tuscan towns. For 4 generations, the same family has managed this restaurant and proposes typical dishes from the Lucca tradition, such as the Farro soup, home-made Lucca ravioli, locally grown olives, lardo di Colonnata, the famous fiorentina beefsteak cooked over charcoal and the traditional Lucca vegetables pies con i becchi. In the summer it is possible to dine on the terrace by candlelight. It is possible to book for groups and banquets up to 300 people. The restaurant is closed on Thursdays.
